Dive bombers in Strategic Mind: The Pacific: Today, we want to tell you more about one of the games mechanics - the Dive bombing ability.On the picture, you can see an SBD-5 dive bomber attacking Kagero class destroyer (usually it is not the brightest idea, as destroyers are far from easy targets for air attacks). SBD-5 (be default) has a Dive bomber skill, which allows it to chose which ship part to attack (expect the Hull and the Engine) or make an ordinary attack (damage is split among various ship parts).Each attack does minimum damage of 1 to Hull, and the rest of it goes to the chosen ship part. Thus while torpedo bombers can deal more damage to the Hull with torpedoes, Dive bombers can perform precise strikes rendering useless selected ship parts, leaving the enemy ship easy prey for further attacks.The proper combination and teamwork of different types of units is the key to success and a sign of a truly strategic mind.
